Amali Guest Houses is situated in the Great Karoo, in the quaint and historic little town known as Cradock. Amali Guest Houses is a beautifully restored turn of the century Homestead where guests are offered comfortable accommodation in a tranquil area, whilst being in close proximity to restaurants, shops and historical sites in and around town. When the owner, Marlize decided to open her family business she decided to keep the name of the guest house in the family. The name “Amali” then originated by combining the names of the owner Marlize and her two daughters Amé and Lize.

Amali Guest Houses is situated on two different properties. 30 Albert Street comprises of Luxury Rooms whilst 6 College Road comprises of fully equipped Self Catering Chalets. Both properties have swimming pools and safe, secure outside covered parking with security and a lock up gate.

LUXURY ROOMS / sleeps 2-3 / 30 Albert Street.
This charming old homestead has been transformed into sophisticated and relaxed guest accommodation. The Luxury rooms consists of 1 x bedroom, (some rooms have double beds and others have single beds), 1 x en-suite bathroom (some with a shower and others with a bath) & some luxury rooms have a kitchenette area. Please specify when making the booking that you require a luxury room with a small fully equipped kitchenette. There is safe outside covered parking across the street with a night guard who patrols the premises throughout the night.

SELF CATERING CHALETS / sleeps 4-6 / 6 College Road.
Each Chalet consists of 2 x bedrooms (single and/ or double beds can be made up according to your needs), 1 x bathroom (consists of a shower and a bath) and 1 x open plan kitchen (fully equipped) with a lounge area. There is a small porch with a garden for when you want to braai or sit outside. The porch overlooks the parking area. These cottages have no air conditioning but there are fans in each room and in the lounge.

For those who want to be spoilt Amali Guest Houses also offers breakfast and dinner by prior arrangement. A continental buffet with cereals, yoghurt, bread, juice, coffee and fruit as well as a full Standard English breakfast is available. The “Stapeltjie” breakfast is a must to try during your visit. At Amali Guest Houses dinners can be arranged on request since they do not currently prepare our own dinners on the premises. We can gladly book you a table at one of the local restaurants or have a cooked meal of your choice from our list of options delivered to your room.

Cradock has many events and festivals throughout the year and are definitely worth visiting. Some places of interest include the Mountain Zebra National Park (20km outside of town), the Great Fish River Museum, the Olive Schreiner House, Monument of the Cradock Four, Oukop – with the best view over Cradock, Eerstekrans, The Fish River with the annual Fish River Canoe Marathon, The Jurie Lombard Watermill and many Hiking and mountain biking trails.
