Both the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal Regions on Route 56 offer an excellent combination of riding along district roads, gravel farm roads, 4x4 tracks and game footpaths.

You may start off at a farm and decide whether you either want to head onto the main district roads for flat riding, or go tough into the surrounding mountain ranges. There is so much to offer for novices and professional cyclist on the Route.

Middelburg Karoo - Asemskep Guest Farm - With plenty of trails on the farm to go cycling, its the ideal spot for any bike enthusiasts out there looking for a bit of adventure.

Schoombee - Karoo Ridge Conservancy - Being on the edge of the Great Escarpment, Karoo Ridge Conservancy is an idea spot to explore and go for a bike ride.
